After receiving information about drug offenses involving Sean Kenny, 30, the Newark Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit obtained a search warrant to search his Newark residence.
During the search, officers located more than one pound of hallucinogenic mushrooms and more than three pounds of marijuana. Additionally, LSD, MDA and THC infused vape products were located.
On March 1, 2024, Kenny was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to Newark Police headquarters where he was charged with:
Kelly appeared before Justice of the Peace Court #2 by video and was released on $9,100 unsecured bail.

The scheduled closure of North College Avenue due to work on the CSX railroad tracks is now scheduled to begin on Wednesday March 6 at 5:00 am and conclude on Friday March 8 at 10:00 pm.
This remains a full closure (24 hours/day) and the closure schedule is subject to change based upon weather.
Pedestrians WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO CROSS THE RAILROAD TRACKS. Pedestrians must cross the tracks at a marked crossing (New London Avenue) or at North Chapel Street.
