Traffic Alert – New Update – Railroad Maintenance Road Closure
Due to weather, the planned road closures for CSX railroad work have been modified to the following:
North College Avenue
This has been postponed with no new date or time announced.
New London Avenue / West Main Street
Tuesday March 12 at 5:00 am until Thursday March 13 at 10:00 pm
These times are approximate and are subject to change based upon weather and other circumstances. These will be full road closures at the railroad crossing (24 hours/day).
Pedestrians WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO CROSS THE RAILROAD TRACKS. Pedestrians must cross the tracks at marked crossings (North College Ave or New London Ave, whichever is open) or at the Rodney Underpass. See detour plans at the prior release postings below.
Trains will continue to run during this closure. As a reminder, both City and State law prohibit crossing railroad tracks at any location other than at a marked crossing.
Please use caution and expect delays in the area.
