On February 27, 2024, at about 1947 hours, a City of Newark parking enforcement vehicle was parked in the unit block of East Main Street. While parked on the street, the tire was intentionally punctured by a person walking on the sidewalk.
Using surveillance video and other investigative methods, the person was identified as Zachery Burrows, 33, of Elkton, MD.
On March 15, 2024, Burrows turned himself in to Newark Police and was charged with one count of criminal mischief. He was released on his own recognizance to appear in court at a later date.
