UPDATE – Arrests – Two Pedestrians Shot With Splatter Balls on East Main Street; Suspects Identified
On April 18, 2022, the three suspects in this incident, which occurred on April 16, turned themselves in to Newark Police to face charges.
The suspects have been identified as:
- Justin Farrow, 19, of Wilmington
- Nasir Hairston, 19, of Wilmington
- Cincere Bowen, 19, of New Castle
All three suspects were charged with:
- Assault Third Degree (2 counts)
- Conspiracy Third Degree
- Unlawfully Dealing with a Dangerous Weapon
All three suspects appeared before Justice of the Peace Court # 2 and were released on their own recognizance.

UPDATE – Arrests – Pedestrian Shot By Water Pellets on East Main Street
On April 13, 2022, three suspects in this incident turned themselves in to Newark Police. The suspects were identified as a 15 year-old male from Earleville, MD and 16 and 17 year-old males from Elkton, MD. Each was charged with:
- Offensive Touching
- Disorderly Conduct
- Conspiracy Third Degree
- Discharging a Gun In Public
All three defendants were released to a parent on their own recognizance to appear in New Castle County Family Court at a later date.
