Gold Alert – Missing Newark Man – Vernon Johnson

The Newark Police Department is attempting to locate Vernon Johnson, 25, of Newark Delaware.

On September 16, 2026, the Newark Police Department was contacted by a person expressing concern for the welfare of Vernon Johnson.  Johnson was last seen leaving the Red Roof Inn located at 1119 South College Avenue on September 16, 2026, at approximately 9:30 AM. Johnson left the area on foot. Johnson’s condition is such that there is a serious concern for his welfare.

Johnson is described as a Black male, with short dreadlocks or twists, 5’06”, 145 lbs. Johnson was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white logo on front and black and silver sneakers.
