Update #1 – Occupied Residential Burglaries on East Park Place and South Chapel Street

The Newark Police Department continues to investigate the occupied residential burglaries involved in this case. As part of the investigation members of the Newark Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit (CIU) obtained arrest warrants for Cameron NOEL, 21-years old of Newark and Clay TANNEN, 19-years old of Newark.

Cameron NOEL (photo below) was taken into custody by members of the Newark Police Department on January 6, 2023. NOEL was arraigned through Justice of the Peace Court # 2. NOEL was committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Facility in lieu of $31001.00 secured bond. NOEL’s charges are listed below:

Burglary 1st Degree – 2 counts

Burglary 2nd Degree

Theft under $1500 – 4 counts

Theft of a motor vehicle

Conspiracy 2nd Degree

Trespassing 3rd Degree

Clay TANNEN’s whereabouts are currently unknown. TANNEN is described as a 19-year-old white male, approximately 5’08” in height, approximately 150 pounds with a fair complexion, reddish hair and blue eyes. There is no updated photo for TANNEN.
