Multiple Vehicle Tires Damaged on Madison Drive

On May 23, 2019, at about 2325 hours, Newark Police began to receive reports of damaged tires on vehicles parked in the unit block of Madison Drive.  Witnesses reported that a white male was observed walking along Madison Drive puncturing tires of vehicles with a knife.

Responding officers located three different vehicles with tire damage consistent with having been punctured with a knife.  Officers obtained a suspect description of a white male, 5’5″ – 5’10” with facial hair and wearing a green button down shirt.  Responding officers did not locate the suspect in the area.

A short time later, officers received a report of a similarly described white male acting disorderly about a half mile away on South Main Street.  Officers located this subject and obtained his identity.  His involvement in this incident remains under investigation.
