Update #2 – Attempt to identify from 100 Grove Lane – Arrest
On February 19, 2024, Detectives from the Newark Police Department Criminal Investigations Division identified Derrick WHITE, 40, of Wilmington, Delaware as the person depicted in images from the investigation. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for WHITE, charging him with Attempt to Commit Kidnapping Second Degree. WHITE turned himself in to the Newark Police Department on February 20, 2024.
WHITE appeared before Justice of the Peace Court #20 by video and was arraigned on his charge. WHITE was turned over to the State of Delaware Department of Correction after failing to post bond.

Traffic Alert – Closure of South College Avenue (SR 896)
Due to construction at the intersection of Interstate 95 and South College Avenue (SR 896), South College Avenue SOUTHBOUND will be closing between Christina Parkway (SR 4) and Old Baltimore Pike during the following times:
- Tuesday February 20 from 9:00 pm – 5:00 am
- Wednesday February 21 from 9:00 pm – 5:00 am
Access to and from Interstate 95 at SR 896 will also be impacted. See more information and updates here.
