On April 5, 2023, Newark Police School Resource Officers (“SRO”) received a report from the administration at Newark Charter High School, 200 McIntire Drive, of a possible threat towards the school. Newark Police SROs immediately began to investigate the threat.
The investigation determined that a school staff member was speaking with a student, a 16 year-old male, at the school.
