Bank Robbery on South College Avenue

On December 21, 2018, at about 1223 hours, Newark Police were dispatched to the Wells Fargo Bank, located at 622 South College Avenue, for a report of a robbery.

During the robbery, the suspect entered the bank and presented a note to a female teller implying that he had a weapon. The teller turned over an undisclosed amount of United States currency and the suspect fled the bank to a vehicle parked outside.

The suspect is described as a black male with a beard. He was dressed in a gray hooded sweatshirt, black t-shirt and black pants. The suspect was also wearing a gray baseball hat and white and black sneakers.

The suspect vehicle is a dark 4-door sedan, possibly a Nissan Altima. The vehicle was last seen fleeing southbound on South College Avenue.
