Based upon witness statements and forensic evidence, Newark Police detectives identified one of the suspects in these incidents as a 15 year-old male from Wilmington.
An arrest warrant was issued earlier this month for the juvenile suspect’s arrest.
On July 27, 2021, Newark Police and juvenile probation officers arrested the suspect at his residence without incident. He was transported to Newark Police headquarters where he was charged with:
He appeared before New Castle County Family Court by video and was released to a parent on $500 unsecured bail.

Original Release

On July 26, 2021, at about 0249 hours, Newark Police were dispatched to the Goodwill store in the Newark Shopping Center, 230 East Main Street, for a burglary alarm. Upon arrival, officers located an unsecured door. Officers entered the business and located a female removing merchandise from within the business. The female was taken into custody without incident.
The female was identified as Rhiannon Trent, 37, of Newark.
Trent was transported to Newark Police headquarters where she was charged with Burglary Third Degree and Theft Under $1500. Trent appeared before Justice of the Peace Court #11 by video and was released on $1,050 unsecured bail.
