Wilmington Man Arrested on Drug Charges

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation into drug crimes, officers from the Newark Police Department developed information indicating narcotics activity connected to a residence in Wilmington, Delaware.
As a result of this investigation, Newark Police officers executed a search warrant on October 30, 2025, at a residence located in the 300 block of Marsh Lane, Wilmington. During the search, officers seized the following items:
- Approximately 2.6 ounces of cocaine
- Approximately 5.61 pounds of marijuana
- 129 THC vape cartridges
- 80 Diazepam (10mg) pills
- 1 Alprazolam pill
- Additional items of drug paraphernalia
Chyanne Dabney, 34, of Wilmington, was taken into custody without incident. Dabney was charged with the following offenses:
- Possession With Intent To Deliver Controlled Substance (Cocaine) Tier 3 Quantity
- Possession Of Controlled Substance (Cocaine) Tier 3 Quantity
- Possession With Intent To Deliver Controlled Substance (Marijuana) Tier 2 Quantity
- Possession Of Controlled Substance (Marijuana) Tier 2 Quantity
- Endangering The Welfare Of a Child By Committing A Title 16 Offense With Child In The Dwelling (two counts)
- Possession of a Controlled Substance (Diazepam)
- Possession of a Controlled Substance (Alprazolam)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Dabney was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court #2 and issued $74,600 cash bail. He was subsequently committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution.
