Newark Police Traffic Alert – The Newark Halloween Parade is Sunday, October 26, 2025. From 1430 – 1700 hours, the parade route will close the entire length of East Main Street from Library Avenue to South College Avenue.
Local traffic will be permitted between Library Avenue and Tyre Avenue. From 1430 – 1600 hours, no traffic will be allowed on East Delaware Avenue east of South Chapel Street. No parking is permitted on East Main Street between 1000 – 1700 hours.
HEAVY TRAFFIC IS EXPECTED ON SURROUNDING STREETS DUE TO THE DETOURS. Use an alternate route and expect delays.
