New Jersey Man Charged Following Drug Investigation

During the month of April, the Newark Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit began an investigation into drug sales in Newark.  Pursuant to that investigation, a search warrant was executed at an apartment on Scholar Drive in Newark.  During the search, officers located nearly one pound of marijuana, over 250 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, and multiple dosage units of LSD.

The resident of the apartment was identified as Michael Glass, 20, of Haworth, NJ.

Glass was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported to Newark Police headquarters where he was charged with:

  • Possession With Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (3 counts)
  • Possession of Controlled Substance in a Tier 3 Quantity
  • Possession of Controlled Substance in a Tier 1 Quantity
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Glass appeared before Justice of the Peace Court #2 by video and was released on $52,400 unsecured bail.
