Newark, DE (October 3, 2018) – On Sunday September 2, 2018, at approximately 1:11 a.m., the Newark Police responded to Klondike Kate’s, 158 East Main Street, for a report of an assault. Officers made contact with a 21-year-old female who stated that there was a verbal altercation on the second floor of the establishment between herself and another female. All parties were escorted out of the building by staff. As the 21-year-old female was walking on East Main Street, she was physically attacked by the female subject from the verbal altercation. The suspect grabbed her by the hair, pulling her to the ground, where she was punched twice on the side of the head. The 21-year-old female was transported to Christiana Hospital by Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder Company for evaluation for her injuries. She was later released from the hospital.
Investigating officers obtained a surveillance image of the suspect. The suspect is described as a light skinned black female in her 20’s, approximately 5’7” tall and 150 pounds, wearing a black floral romper.

Newark, DE (October 3, 2018) – On Tuesday September 18, 2018, at approximately 11:40 a.m., the Newark Police responded to the 200 block of East Delaware Avenue for a report of a bicycle theft which just occurred. A review of surveillance footage in the area showed two males walk up to a bike rack, use a set of bolt cutters to cut two bike locks and ride away with the two bikes. The suspects were then observed getting on a DART bus, utilizing the bus to transport the bikes. The stolen bicycles consisted of a Raleigh mountain bike and a Firmstrong Urban Lady Beach Cruiser valued at a total of approximately $400.
Investigating officers obtained surveillance images of the suspects. The first suspect is described as a white male wearing a blue t-shirt. The second suspect is described as a white male wearing a black baseball style hat, a grey t-shirt, and dark pants.
