On May 29, 2025, at approximately 2:50 p.m., Newark Police officers conducted a traffic stop for observed motor vehicle violations. During the stop, officers made contact with two individuals: Luis Francisco Sanchez, 25, and Denny Fajardo Solano, 28, both residents of Wilmington, Delaware.
An on-scene investigation led to the arrest of both individuals for multiple drug-related offenses. Sanchez and Solano were each charged with the following:
- Manufacture/Deliver/ PWID Controlled Substance (Cocaine)
- Manufacture/Deliver/ PWID Controlled Substance (Heroin)
- Conspiracy in the Second Degree
Additionally, Luis Francisco Sanchez was charged with two separate traffic offenses related to the original stop.
Both suspects were arraigned via Justice of the Peace Court 2 and subsequently committed to the custody of the Delaware Department of Corrections at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution.
- Luis Francisco Sanchez was held in lieu of $25,000 cash bail.
- Denny Fajardo Solano was held in lieu of $22,000 cash bail.
