Newark Police have made two additional arrests stemming from the investigation into multiple residential burglaries in December, 2018 and January, 2019 along the Pomeroy Trail area of Newark. Links to the original releases can be found below.
During the investigation, Richard Vazquez, 19, was identified as an additional suspect in a Choate Street burglary. On 02/08/19, a search warrant was conducted at Vazquez’s Newark residence and property connecting him to the crimes was located. Vazquez was taken into custody by Newark Detectives and charged with the following three offenses:
Vazquez appeared via video before Justice of the Peace Court #2 in Rehoboth Beach and was released on $13,000 unsecured bail.
Additionally, Nathaniel Morales, 15, was identified as a suspect in burglaries on East Cleveland Avenue and North College Avenue. On 02/13/19, a search warrant was conducted at Morales’ Hockessin residence and property connecting him to the crimes was located. Vazquez was taken into custody by Newark Detectives and charged with the following eleven offenses:
Morales appeared before the New Castle County Family Court and was released on $15,500 unsecured bail.
